We are a long established Health Centre in Waikanae and provide quality health care to over 11,000 patients including 5 large Retirement facilities in Waikanae and the surrounding area.In addition to regular General Practice we provide many specialist services, including Occupational Health. We are pleased to be able to provide Occupational Health services for companies in the local area.At the south end of the Health Centre is the Waikanae Specialist Medical Centre where visiting Specialists from Wellington and the Hutt Valley hold clinics on a regular basis. A Doctor is available on call until 10pm each night. EmergenciesTelephone us directly on 04 293.6002 at any time. This line is answered promptly during surgery and after hours and will connect you to the medical staff on call. The doctors are able to deal with accidents, trauma and medical emergencies. Staff MeetingOn the last Wednesday of each month our main centre in Marae Lane opens at 9.30am and our beach clinic opens at 10am to allow for our monthly full staff meeting.Cornerstone AccreditationIn February 2015 we achieved our Cornerstone re-accreditation for the third time. Fully funded for people over 65 years, or with diabetes, respiratory, renal or cardiac disease, a malignancy and for pregnant women. Zostavax (The Shingles Vaccine)From April 1st 2018, one dose of the vaccine will be funded for patients aged 65 years, with a 2 year catch-up programme for those aged 66 to 80 years. Clinics for the Zostavax vaccine open on June 5th.
