Telephone us directly on 04 293.6002 at any time. This line is answered promptly during surgery and after hours and will connect you to the medical staff on call. The doctors are able to deal with accidents, trauma and medical emergencies.
On the last Wednesday of each month we open at 9.30am to allow for our monthly full staff meeting.

Waikanae Health is owned and managed by 6 partners: John Clarke, Dr. Jared Cook, Dr. Andrew Edwards, Dr. Dermot O’Connor, Dr. Romain Kuhm and Dr. Herman van Kradenburg. The Practice Manager is Ms Glenda Henshilwood. Waikanae Health also employs 7 associate Doctors, 2 Registrars and 14 Nurses plus administration and support staff. We are a long established Health Centre in Waikanae and provide quality health care to over 11,000 patients including 5 large Retirement facilities in Waikanae and the surrounding area. In addition to regular General Practice we provide many specialist services, including Occupational Health. We are pleased to be able to provide Occupational Health services for companies in the local area. At the south end of the Health Centre is the Waikanae Specialist Medical Centre where visiting Specialists from Wellington and the Hutt Valley hold clinics on a regular basis. In the coming months we are planning to open a new satellite clinic at 43 Te Moana Road, Waikanae Beach to allow more space for our busy practice and also to assist our beach patients to access our services more easily.

We have changed the way we triage (prioritise) our acutely unwell patients. If you are acutely unwell and phone us between 8am and 8.45am, you will be able to speak to a Doctor within the hour (your Doctor if he/she is available) A same day appointment will be arranged if required. ZOSTAVAX (the Shingles Vaccine)
From April 1st 2018, one dose of the vaccine will be funded for patients aged 65 years, with a 2 year catch-up programme for those aged 66 to 80 years. Click here to read more. Please note - Zostavax can not be given at a Flu Clinic appointment due to time constraints.
