Consultation Charges

The following charges apply to patients registered with Waikanae Health, for booked appointments (in clinic, telephone and video). Additional charges apply for patients who are not registered with us. All prescribing clinicians attract the same fees – including GPs, Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Prescribers.

Other Charges

MyIndici

If your GP / NP has asked you, while in consultation, to give them updates, no charge will apply. Emailing the Provider may incur a small charge for anything that may be deemed a new consultation. Booking fees do not apply when booking appointments across MyIndici. Charges apply for repeat medications.

Missed Consultations

Booked appointments that are not cancelled within two hours of the appointment time will incur a $30 fee. This fee applies to children under 14 and CSC holders.

Vaccinations

Not all vaccines are funded by Te Whatu Ora. Please ask our nursing team if funding applies to you.

Materials / Consumables

Materials like dressings, medications, instruments etc are charged to patients based on the cost price of the materials incurred. Materials are charged on ACC wounds as these are not covered by ACC.

Referrals to specialist and external providers will incur a charge on top of the consultation fee.

billing

Family Group Accounts

For families who are registered under a single account holder, the main account holder will have access to the visit and billing details of all members within the billing group. This includes appointment times, and associated billing codes for each member. This information is accessible to the main account holder to assist with managing the family billing. Please let reception know if you prefer to have an individual account – we can un-link your account from a group account.

In accordance with NZ law, children over 16 years old will have the option to have an individual account.

Payment in MyIndici

  • Click Pending Invoices
  • Click the invoice you wish to pay
  • Click Pay Now with Stripe
  • You will be prompted for you payment details
  • Credit automatically shows on your account when you submit the payment

Internet Banking

  • Go to your Banking App or open Internet Banking on your browser
  • Go to your list of Payees
  • Click Add New
  • Under Companies search for Waikanae Health
  • Make a One-off payment or set up an Automatic Payment (AP)

We provide a patient portal service through MyIndici which meets the HISO 10029:2022 Health Information Security Framework (HISF).

We recognise the confidential and sensitive nature of our patients; health information. When collecting, storing, using and disposing of health information, we require all staff to practice in accordance with the following.

  • Health (Retention of Health Information) Regulations 1996
  • Privacy Act 2020

We follow the principles of purpose and transparency outlined in the Code, ensuring that we clearly communicate the reasons for collecting information and how it will be used. During their induction, all new staff receive training on confidentiality, the Privacy Act 2020, and their related responsibilities at the practice.

Staff at Waikanae Health may not provide information about you to any third party if you have not consented to this, including family members.
